Site Manager Overview

- Save Site — Saves changes to the site. This button is stated.
- If the button is grey (
) there are no changes. - If the button is blue (
) there are changes that need to be made.
- If the button is grey (
- Close Site — Closes the site.
- Clicking on the Close Button (
) will close the site. - It is best practice to close the site when you are done editing. This is especially important in a multi-editor environment. Geocortex Essentials will lock a site and not allow others to access the site for editing until the original editor closes the site.

- Clicking on the Help icon (
) will open the Help Contents to the section you are currently working.

- REST Url
- Clicking on the REST url icon (
) will take you to the corresponding location within the Geocortex Essentials Sites REST endpoint.

- Site Warning (not shown above)
- The warning icon (
) will display to the left of "Configure Site: ..." if there are any site errors. Clicking on the icons will display a dialog listing the site errors to be resolved.

- Site Info — The site information page allows you to:
- Modify the site's display name and description.
- Select a virtual directory to serve the site's static content.
- Add references to other sites.
- Define or modify custom properties for the site.
- Map — The Map page allows you to:
- Add and organize map services.
- Configure map layer properties.
- Configure map extents and bookmarks.
- Layer Themes — The Layer Themes page allows you to configure subsets of the Layer List into functional groupings. Layer themes make it possible to quickly switch between groups of layers.
- Base Maps — The Base Maps page allows you to configure the base maps available in the Base Map Switcher.
- Overview Maps — The Overview Map page allows you to configure an overview map that is inset in the main map.
- GIS Services — The GIS Services page allows you to configure:
- Geocoding Services.
- Geometry Service.
- Default Export Map Image format.
